Let's play a guessing game: Where am I? I'm lying on my back, wearing a two-piece, and it's really hot because sweat is pouring out of every pore of my body.
If you guessed that I'm sunbathing at the beach because it's all I talk about here, you would actually be wrong. Ü I'm describing lying in Savasana (Dead Body Pose) during a Bikram yoga class. Read more...
While talking about someone... Noelle: nung nakita nya ako, siya pa ang lumapit sa akin Noelle: and I didn't get up from my seated position. Mag-forward fold sya para maki-beso. Eight days out of Manila is no joke to me. Normally I stick close to home and it's only been work or vacations that have taken me out of my comfort zone. Thankfully, work doesn't seem like work when you're traveling and experiencing new things. It's my second trip with Living Asia Channel and I was blessed with the assignment to go to Laoag City and include their yearly Pamulinawen Festival in a "Gone for the Weekend" storyline. Excerpt from Arnold's email:
"This is your first step to hosting (“the world’s ultimate dance party workout!”) BODYJAM. Fun, exciting and educational activities await all of you in the 3 days that we will spend together."
OH YEAH! I am just so thankful right now. It was probably not God's will for me to become a Jam instructor previously, but I think I'm more prepared for it now, with all I've been through in the past year (professionally and personally). Bring it on! Read about the audition.

The thing with work that seems like play is that we co-workers -- and friends -- don't get tired of each other's company. I loved every moment of it. It was worth the journey all the way to Mall of Asia. When Work is Play

 | BOMB! | Oct 19, '07 7:02 AM for everyone |
As I started to exit SM, I noticed a whole lot of people just standing in front of Glorietta's entrance. The mall's interiors were dimly lit and the establishments inside looked closed. My stomach churned as I started to catch whispers of explosions and bombs. BOMB!
When I was younger, my mom let my sister and me play with her stuff: clothes, shoes, and even the make-up in her dresser drawer. But even though I played with her heels and learned in my own fashion to apply make-up, I still ended up barefaced every day and wearing flip-flops and flats. Life was simple. That is, until recently.
The Noelle of last year would never have thought she'd be doing what I'm doing now: being in front of people, hosting or presenting or performing or anything of that sort. Sure, she may have dreamed of being in front of cameras but she wouldn't have thought she'd have the guts to do anything there aside from quivering and shaking and making a fool of herself. They played a lot of favorites and the energy from the crowd was intense. It peaked during Switchfoot's encore of "Only Hope" and "We Are One Tonight". We mosh-pitters really rocked it out, especially a group of guys on my left who are in a band and have Switchfoot as their main influence. (From their conversation pre-concert I could tell they were massive fanatics.) In fact, the crowd was so hopped up on adrenaline that a guy and a girl from the mosh pit jumped up and started running around onstage, to the dismay of Switchfoot's roadies. The guy got bodyslammed off the stage by one roadie, and two other roadies pulled the girl away kicking and screaming after the concert ended. For more, read my blog post We Are One Tonight.
Last Wednesday the two of them changed their Friendster statuses to "In a Relationship". Now, this was important to me because as far as I was concerned, something was not right because they were together but not really together officially. I just found myself really happy for them, no bitterness at all. This didn't change even when he removed me from his Friendster list. I guess I understand; I wanted to remove him from my list too, but I didn't think it would look too good, considering we are still on bad terms. I just didn't want it to come from me. Read more...

For the past few years I've celebrated the actual day of my birthday quietly with just myself and a few friends, and this year was no different. I consider it one of the best birthdays I've had in a while, though. Or maybe it's because it was one of the best days I've had in a while, period. I woke up loving who I am and who my family and friends are, and feeling thankful for everything I have. Ü Read more...
I had an opportunity to join Gelli
and four BodyJam instructors in Robinsons Place Dasmarinas (Cavite) to
present some BodyJam hiphop blocks. This was part of Solar Sports'
Summer Training Camp: a free program held in Robinsons Malls to get
people moving their bodies and engaging in sports and other like
activities, dance aerobics being one of them (in a promotional tie-up
with Fitness First Ortigas). BodyJam is LOVE. Read more...
I'm sitting here typing this smiling inside with a wonderful feeling of accomplishment. You might ask why, since it's so early in the morning. Well, for the first time, I team-taught a BodyBalance class this morning at Fitness First ABS-CBN. I really do enjoy this and I hope I excel at this new endeavor. I may be an instructor of a group exercise program that's supposed to leave you calm and centered, but I am definitely buzzed about it! BodyBalance Buzz

Ever been in a situation where you find out you've got absolutely no
money on your person -- and you've absolutely got to pay for something? Happened
to me last week. After rushing off to the gym, late because my alarm
hadn't woken me up early enough, I went through the motions of a
workout then showered and dressed for work. (I also had a teensy
wardrobe malfunction which explains why I still look like I'm going to
the gym, but that's a story for another time.) When I got down to the
basement parking area, which has a fee of 40 pesos, I realized that I
hadn't brought any money with me. Hey mister, got any spare change?
